Nova Guitar Duo, Journey (Stradivarius)

Due chitarre: quella di Nelly von Alven, a sei corde e quella di Luiz Mantovani, a otto corde (chitarra Brahms) che creano delle sonorità così articolate e inaspettate da far sì che questo CD sembri composto da orchestre di fili di seta: più che moderne, più che orientali, persino più che caleidoscopiche!

Das Nova Guitar Duo präsentierte Solo-Stücke

Am Samstag, dem 15.01.2022, gaben Nelly von Alven und Luiz Mantovani ein Gitarrenkonzert in Berlin. Trotz der Corona-Beschränkungen war der Auftritt im kleinen Kreis vom Instrumentenbauer Michael Batell in seinem Atelier in Berlin-Kreuzberg möglich gemacht worden.

Anfang Januar 2021 verbrachte das NOVA Guitar Duo drei Tage im Hamburger Konservatorium für die Aufnahme ihres neuen Albums mit Wachtmann Musikproduktion.

German Nelly von Alven and Brazilian Luiz Mantovani met when they were studying at the Royal College of Music in London and then formed the Nova Guitar Duo duo in 2016.One thing that separates them from most duos is their combination of instruments: Nelly plays a conventional six-string classical, and Luiz plays an eight-string “Brahms guitar.”
